What's Going On?

On June 15th, 2022, San Marcos City council decided in a 6-1 vote that a 75-acre film studio will be built right on top of Edward’s Aquifer Recharge Zone. The Edward’s Aquifer supplies roughly two million people with clean drinking water, and the rivers that it feeds are home to a number of endangered species.

"The recharge zone is a 1,250-square-mile-area, stretching from Bracketville in the west nearly to Austin, where faults and fractures in limestone formations allow large quantities of water to flow into the Edwards Aquifer."

Take action now and protect our land from the destruction the La Cima development will bring.
